When you visit a city, it is important to find out about all the activities and plans available in the city before getting there, so you can adapt them to the needs of you and your family.

Now we will tell you more about the Carabeo beach area and all the possibilities you can enjoy there.

Carabeo: One of the most recognised beaches in Nerja

Carabeo beach in Nerja is, without a doubt, one of the most visited beaches in our city. It is a favourite beach for people who are looking for the charm of wild nature since it is surrounded by huge rocks giving the beach an exotic atmosphere that will make you fall in love with the place.

It is a small beach and contrary to what most people think, although the cove may be crowded it is often less crowded than other closer and more famous beaches.

Carabeo beach has two main access points. On the one hand, you can access from the Mirador del Bendito by descending some steps from Carebeo Street. On the other hand, you can access it by taking a pleasant walk from Burriana beach (the most well-known and busiest beach in Nerja).

One of the things you cannot miss if you plan to visit Carabeo Beach is to watch the sunset from the Mirador del Bendito, as it has benches facing the sea and the sunsets are really spectacular. After watching the sunset, you can take a stroll towards the Balcón de Europa and enjoy the views at night, since the landscape changes significantly when the sun goes down.

Carabeo Street

As we have mentioned before, Carabeo Street (Hernando de Carabeo Street) is one of the accesses to the beach of the same name.

This street is well known in Nerja, because in addition to having bars and restaurants, you will also find a wide selection of tourist rental apartments that have a great advantage: they are very close to the beach.

Furthermore, many of these tourist apartments in Carabeo are located within urbanizations with swimming pools, so if you have young children in your family it is a fantastic alternative to going to the beach.

Hernando de Carabeo street is one of the longest in Nerja, and runs alongside several beaches, so if you are lucky enough to stay there you can visit a different beach almost every day: El Chorrillo Beach, Carabeillo Beach, Carabeo Beach … you have many beach options to choose from!

As an option for your accommodation in Nerja, at Casasol we have holiday apartments in the Carabeo Building, which has all the comforts and is located just 100 meters from the Carabeillo beach.

Dining options in Carabeo Street

Nerja is a city with a wide selection of gastronomic options and many are located in this emblematic street of the city.

On Calle Hernando de Carabeo 34, you can find restaurant 34, a highly recommended restaurant by all its visitors which serves Mediterranean and Spanish food. It has fantastic amenities including a swimming pool and magnificent views of the beach. We recommend it for a special night or a celebration, though the place is wonderful and the food highly-acclaimed, the price is higher than the average cost of a meal in our city.

Another option on Calle Hernando de Carabeo is the Goa Town Nerja restaurant. It is located at number 7 and serves Asian food. Though the establishment may not be very elegant, visitors say that their food is delicious. So, if you are looking for a different meal for your holiday in Nerja and you are staying on Carabeo Street, it may be a great option.
