1. Craft Beer & Cheese Festival in Almuñécar
For a food festival near Nerja this November, head to the Craft Beer & Cheese Festival in Almuñécar. Held in El Majuelo Park, the event brings together five craft breweries and eight artisan cheesemakers, alongside food stalls, live music and family activities.
The park also contains the remains of an ancient Roman fish-salting factory, making it an interesting setting for a day out. A flamenco performance, “Raíces de la tierra”, is scheduled for Saturday at 1pm.

2. Cajonea: Free Flamenco Events in Torrox
If you would like to experience flamenco near Nerja, Torrox’s International Flamenco Cajón Festival celebrates its tenth edition with masterclasses and a public performance.
The cajón is the box-shaped percussion instrument often heard accompanying flamenco. Saturday’s programme includes three morning masterclasses, followed by “La Semilla del Cajón” in the evening, featuring Escuela Cultura Cajonera, Ballet Flamenco de Granada and a finale with the cajón masters.

- Times: masterclasses at 11am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm; evening performance at 7.30pm.

3. Science Week: Discover Another Side of Nerja Cave
The activity “Nerja, una cueva a la luz de la ciencia” offers a chance to discover Nerja Cave through the work of the people who research and conserve it.
Organised for Science Week, the visit explores geological formations, wildlife adapted to darkness, archaeological heritage and the scientific research carried out inside the cave.

4. Dúo Ballix: Piano and Cello Concert in Nerja
The Nerja events programme for November includes a piano and cello concert by Dúo Ballix at the Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja.
Instrumental music makes this an accessible cultural evening for international visitors. Its central location also makes it easy to combine the concert with a stroll through town and dinner in Nerja.

This performance offers an opportunity to discover contemporary flamenco and enjoy an evening of culture during your November holiday near Nerja.

6. Charity Run and Walk of Hope in Vélez-Málaga
Looking for sporting events near Nerja? The 43rd Vélez-Málaga Urban Race and 15th Walk of Hope combine exercise with support for a local cause.
The event raises funds for Asociación Esperanza, an association supporting women with breast cancer in the Axarquía. The programme includes children’s races, 5km and 10km runs, and a 3km charity walk, so you can choose how you would like to take part.

- Location: start and finish at Parque Andalucía, Vélez-Málaga.

7. An 80s and 90s Spanish Pop Musical in Torrox
November finishes with a nostalgic evening as Onbeat Producciones presents “El nuevo musical de los 80s 90s, continúa la fiesta”.
This musical comedy revisits Spanish pop hits from both decades, encouraging the audience to sing, dance and join in. It is particularly suited to visitors who enjoy Spanish music and are comfortable following a Spanish-language show.
