From 27 to 30 August 2026, the whitewashed streets of Frigiliana will once again come alive for one of the most popular summer events in the Axarquía. The festival celebrates the cultural legacy associated with the Christian, Muslim and Jewish communities that form part of the town’s history.
The dates for this year’s edition have been officially confirmed by the Frigiliana Town Council.
What is the Frigiliana Festival of Three Cultures?
The Festival Frigiliana 3 Culturas is much more than a traditional village fair.
For four days, Frigiliana becomes a meeting point for different cultures, with events taking place throughout the historic centre and a particularly lively atmosphere once the sun goes down.
Visitors can expect a combination of live music, street performances, gastronomy, markets and cultural activities, making it an easy evening plan whether you are travelling as a couple, with friends or with the family.

When is the Frigiliana Festival in 2026?
The Frigiliana Festival of Three Cultures 2026 takes place from Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August.
Activities are spread across the four days, so you do not necessarily need to plan your visit around one particular performance. Part of the experience is simply walking through Frigiliana and enjoying the atmosphere around the village.

Getting to the Frigiliana Festival from Nerja

According to the official festival programme, there is a special shuttle bus service between Nerja and Frigiliana, operating every hour in the evening.
For travel from Nerja, buses run every hour from 19:30 until 03:00, allowing visitors to enjoy the festival without having to worry about driving or finding parking in Frigiliana.
