1. What are cookies and who is responsible

This website uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage). Cookies are small files that are stored in the user’s browser when they visit a website and which enable, amongst other things, the website to remember their preferences, measure usage of the site or display relevant advertising.

The data controller responsible for the use of first-party cookies is Mateos & Föhrenbach S.L. (Casasol Holiday), with Tax Identification Number (NIF) B93304418, registered in the Málaga Commercial Register (Volume 5237, Page 209, Sheet MA-121758), with its registered office at Calle Los Huertos 78, 29780 Nerja (Málaga), telephone +34 952 52 6248 and contact email info@nerjaholidayrentals.com. This policy applies to www.nerjaholidayrentals.com and its versions in other languages.

With the exception of strictly necessary technical cookies, we only install cookies if the User gives their prior consent via the banner or the settings panel. Where cookies enable the User to be identified, they are treated as personal data and our Privacy Policy also applies.

2. Applicable legislation

This policy is governed by Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s Guide on the Use of Cookies, in its July 2023 version.

3. Types of cookies we use

Depending on who manages them:

First-party cookies: these are sent and managed by Mateos & Föhrenbach S.L. from its own domain.
Third-party cookies: these are sent and managed by other organisations (for example, Google or Meta) that provide us with analytics or advertising services.

By purpose:

Technical or necessary: these enable the basic functioning of the website (navigation, security, booking engine, remembering cookie preferences). They do not require consent and cannot be disabled via the settings panel.
Functional or preference cookies: these remember options chosen by the User, such as language or currency. Where the User expressly chooses this preference themselves, they do not require consent.
Analytics or measurement cookies: these allow us to understand how the website is used (pages visited, duration of visit, device, traffic source) in order to improve it. They are only installed with consent.
Advertising and behavioural advertising cookies: these enable us to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and show the User Casasol adverts on other websites and social media platforms based on their browsing behaviour. They are only installed with consent.

Third-party analytics and advertising cookies may process online identifiers and the IP address, so they are not always anonymous.
